Oakworth Remembrance Trail

Oakworth Remembrance Trail for our village.

In partnership with Keighley Town Council and supported by Keighley Cadets, we have produced a Remembrance Trail, which consists of A3 size information boards on lamp posts around the village.

These feature 96 local men who died in the two World Wars and each board is situated close to the house they lived in before the war.
In the run up to Remembrance Day they are intended to highlight where the homes were, of the men who did not return from serving in the two World Wars. Each board has a QR code which you can scan with a device to bring you to this page and click the name of any man to read all about them.

We held a launch event on 30th October 2025, to start the Trail off in the village when all the boards were first installed and this will be repeated in late October and November 2026, when the boards will be installed again by local volunteers.
