We are delighted to have been given a grant from Haworth, Cross Roads and Stanbury Council. This will enable us to continue our membership of Ancestry and also to purchase a number war diaries from the National Archives.
We would like to publicly thank them very much for their support. We have already done a lot of research on the men from their parish who died in the Great War and are working on researching all the men of their parish. This research has enabled us to produce names of those men who died in each year of the war to be read out at Haworth, Cross Roads and Stanbury Cenotaphs on the centenary year of their deaths, by members of the parish.
