Early Life:
Enid was born on the 9th July 1918 at No 2 Pattie Street, Keighley. Her father William is a Commercial Motor Mechanic and her mother Penual is a housewife. By 1939 they are still living in Pattie Street where Enid's older sister Audrey is working as a warper at a Fancy Worsted Mill, and Enid herself is working at the same mill as a weaver.
War Service:
Enid joined the Women's Land Army in 1941 on the 15th October. At the beginning of December she was transferred to Lindsey where she stayed until 1945 then resigned on compassionate reasons.
Later Life:
Not much is known about Enid's post war life. In 1951 she married John Driver, who seems to have predeceased her. Enid herself died on the 2nd October 2005 at the age of 87 years in Settle, North Yorkshire.
